Geing There
Whistler is located on Canada's West Coast, just two hours north of
Vancouver by road. The breathtaking scenic journey through the Sea to
Sky Corridor is the perfect start to a mountain vacation, and getting here
is a breeze with access to several international airports, a range of airport
transfers.
Or if you would rather spend your time in the car all snuggled and cozy try
a quick road trip. Whistler is located just 215 miles from Seattle (five and a
half hours drive time) and there is plenty to do and see along the famed
and aptly-named Sea to Sky Highway. Towering snow-capped mountains,
lush green rainforests, and fast-flowing milky turquoise rivers will be
forever etched into your memory. Along the way plan in making a few
stops at these popular attractions:
Horseshoe Bay
A small, quaint and picturesque village
on West Vancouver's North Shore.
This community is perfectly suited to
pedestrian traffic. Park your car and walk
the few blocks that constitute the main
street, choosing a restaurant that suits
your taste. Many come to Horseshoe Bay
just for the view.
Britannia (BC) Mining Museum
It was once the largest copper mine in the
British Empire. Today, the Britannia Mine
Museum opens up a little-seen world
that fascinates all ages. Travel into an old
copper mine, pan for gold and more.
Shannon Falls
Composed of a series of cliffs, rising over
1,000 feet above Highways 99, this is the
third highest falls in the province. This park
provides picnicking, hiking and access to
the trail in Stawamus Chief Provincial Park.
A must-see; thunderous, picturesque and
easy to access.
