IN EAST ASIAN PHILOSOPHY, there are five stages of change in all of life,
and they are named the Five Elements: water, wood, fire, earth, and metal.
These symbolic names were simple descriptors for the energy expressed at
each stage in a cycle of life. Each is necessary to maintain balance within
the earth or within an individual. When we're out of balance, then we can
become angry, frightened, grief stricken, worried, or just burned out. How can
we regain our balance? You can use the Five Element Theory!
