I
n the famous proverb April showers bring May flowers,
the idea is that the month of April, traditionally a
rainy period, gives way to May, when flowers will bloom
because of the water provided to them by the April rains.
By extension, a period of discomfort can provide the
basis for a period of happiness and joy. This seems very
apropo considering where we have been in the world and
in our lives for the past year and the path through the
tunnel that we are emerging from. There is no better time to rejoice
in change than spring, and this spring offers an extra bounty to be
grateful for —freedom from the confines of our homes. Although
some folks may still not feel absolutely comfortable venturing
out just yet, and that's OK because along with flowers, spring also
presents an opportunity to partake in gardening and reap the various
rewards from that pastime—enjoyment and nutrition being two. In
this issue we'll touch on growing your own fresh veggies and herbs
whether you have a space in the yard to do so or opt for a container
garden. We'll highlight some services that just make moving easier
and explore if now is the right time for you to take the plunge into
home ownership (or not).
As the flowers and sunshine reveal themselves, I'm wishing you the
happiest and most joyful spring season yet!
