The Unity of Forest Living Without a sense of caring there can be no sense of community. —Anthony J. D'Angelo I n my relatively short time living in Tehaleh I have found this saying to be very accurate. After moving into our house over Christmas 2017 I have on many occasions awoken to the sound of snow being shoveled from my driveway to find my neighbor Sean bundled up and doing the "heavy lifting". My daughter has received numerous rides to school on raining days from these same neighbors, I have shared brown sugar with them and then an hour later they shared their delicious creation, a still warm banana muffin that was the best I have ever tasted. One day last fall after I had sent my daughter off to school she returned within 10 minutes, I asked her why and she said that she forgotten her book report and turned around to come back and get it.
