E
very new year I fall into the trap that so
many people do—the resolution trap. I am
always going to start out walking 5 miles on
January 2nd, then reality sets in that I really don't
have time (nor the desire) to walk 5 miles a day.
It's just not something I can do and the rewards
of weight loss or improved appearance/health
always seem to take so long. This year I am
going to start small and begin with items that I
can see right away. I have made the resolution
to get more organized. This would seem to be
an immediate reward by way of clutter removal and I think it will inspire
me to overhaul other areas of my life as well—i.e. starting on that walk. I
believe if we can start small and see results they will infuse other areas
of our life and give us the push we might need to move forward.
So on that note I am sharing some tips and tricks for organizing in this
issue. Take note of 'Rules of Order' to get your spaces well... in order.
Then let's purge those electronics that seem to take up waayyy too much
space in that "junk drawer" and we'll maybe reward ourselves with a pop
of ultraviolet by way of a new throw pillow or blanket—after all this is the
new color of the year.
With all things new it is often how you approach them that determines if
it will be a lifestyle change or just a passing fad. I am doing little by little
and hoping for the best. Who's with me?
