Festival of Trees at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel Benefiting Seattle Children's Autism Center and uncompensated care at Seattle Children's Hospital, the Festival of Trees is produced by the Dr. Forrest L. Flashman Guild. The creation and selling of these magical trees has been a well-loved holiday tradition since 1978. While the events and activities have evolved over the years, one thing remains constant: the ever increasing need for funds to support uncompensated care, so that no child is ever turned away due to their parent's lack of ability to pay. Each tree is designed and decorated by guild volunteers, many of whom are professional decorators and is dedicated to a courageous Seattle Children's Hospital patient. Whether you're looking for ideas for your own tree this year or just want to gawk at some amazing showstoppers, start your holiday season off with this time-honored tradition. Festival of Trees Gingerbread Houses at the Sheraton Each year the Sheraton Hotel culinary team along with top local architecture firms and builders' association design, bake and delight you with larger than life gingerbread exhibits The event is free to the public, with donations benefitting the JDRF Northwest Chapter. This year marks the 24th Annual Gingerbread Village with creations inspired by scenes from your favorite wizarding world. These spectacular treats will transfix you with their culinary sorcery.
