Nature Frink Park Since the earliest days of Seattle history, today's Frink Park has served as a natural woodland park where City residents could enjoy mountain and sound views. Set aside as a "private" park in 1883, the main portion of the park was later purchased by John M. and Abbie H. Frink and gifted to the City on October 25, 1906. Today Frink Park is a 17.2 acre oasis with heavily wooded hillsides and a ravine through which Fink Creek flows. This popular park offers athletic fields, hiking trails, and plenty of green space to just relax. And if you're into boats you can take advantage of Leschi's marina. Leschi Park A 18.5 acre park with a grassy hillside that lies west of Lakeside Avenue S. and features tennis courts, picnic tables, and a playground. The tennis court is slightly private and secluded above hillside below, which leads down to the Lakeside Avenue and the waterfront. This park also offers picnic tables and a playground. Leschi Marina is the launch pad for the parade of Christmas Ships. Come see the boats all decked out in holiday lights—even hop aboard one to enjoy an evening of Christmas magic put on by Argosy Cruises. Peppi's Playground is definitely a playground, full of unique playthings. And despite the playground emphasis, there is room on the landscaped grass for a picnic. The summer wading pool is a popular gathering spot for the kiddos on hot days.
