Casey A s the temperature begins to climb and the calendar announces the season's official start, you may be planning that long awaited summer vacation, looking forward to a summer bounty of refreshing eats, or using this season to modify your housing for future use. Anyway you look at it, summer is a time to relax, enjoy and explore. Relax In this issue we seek out little known gems for that perfect summer get-away. While "glamping" has been a catch-phrase of late, we'll take it one step further by uncovering tree houses, tents, cabins and cottages, making these the perfect (and unexpected) summer sojourn with family, friends or even solo for a little r&r. All available to rent through Air BnB. Enjoy Key lime pie is as summer as fireworks on the 4th of July. We'll dive into a show stopper of a KLP recipe and the pyrotechnic happenings in the area. Enjoyment overload! Explore Aging in place has become a hot topic as more baby boomers are looking to stay in their homes while approaching the twilight years. In this issue we elevate the conversation about aging in place. Forget about grab bars and wheelchair ramps. Those are elements of last resort for "old" people. And who wants to be labeled "old"? Advances in home design and decor make this transition in place easier, safer and ultimately more stylish. We have a fun-filled and informative issue for you, so pack us along as a beach read or sneak a snack break at work and take a breather.
