Established in 1994 Varlamos
started out in a small space in
the middle of the block. Curious
neighbors tried it out and
thanks to word of mouth this
small pizzeria quickly gained
popularity. Soon Varlamos
was drawing patrons from
surrounding neighborhoods
as well as students and
university staff. In 2000, they
expanded to the adjacent
space to accommodate the
loyal following. And who could
blame them with speciality
dishes such as football sized
calzones and feta or spinach
fingers Varlamos Pizzeria has
something for everyone.

lumber can be tedious chore.
City People's Mercantile
makes DIY tasks more fun--
even delightful. Founded in
1979 and originally only 800
square feet, City People's
was Seattle first women-
owned hardware/mercantile
store. Now, many years later
owners and locations have
changed many times, there
are several locations and of
course the shop space has
expanded as well. After keys are made and custom
paint is selected, shop for housewares, gifts, garden
supplies, and even indoor and outdoor furniture.
Check out brightly colored Acorn socks, Caldrea
aromatherapeutic beauty and household products,
and gifts for kids and adults. The garden store is
closed in the off-season.
