Fairmont Chateau Whistler Once you've finished whizzing down the world class slopes of Whistler Blackcomb, the romance begins at Whistler Village. Fairmont Chateau Whistler located in the upper village offers a three course fondue dining by candlelight. Nothing brings couple's closer than cheese and chocolate. The upper village is only a 10 minute walk from Whistler village so if you aren't staying at the Fairmont, you can easily take a romantic winter stroll back to your hotel, or you can use the many shuttles that go back and forth between the two areas. Araxi Araxi is one of the most famous fine-dining restaurants in the Whistler village, offering an extensive drinks list, beautiful plating and fresh ingredients. So fresh in fact that all of the ingredients used to prepare dishes are locally produced (within 100 miles). Even the wine list has a local bias. Sit at the oyster bar if you desire a more interactive experience. Here the chef will offer suggestions as he carefully prepares the freshest local oysters from Read Island. Or opt to dine à deux.
