Fairmont Chateau Whistler
Once you've finished whizzing down
the world class slopes of Whistler
Blackcomb, the romance begins at
Whistler Village. Fairmont Chateau
Whistler located in the upper village
offers a three course fondue dining
by candlelight. Nothing brings
couple's closer than cheese and
chocolate. The upper village is only
a 10 minute walk from Whistler
village so if you aren't staying at
the Fairmont, you can easily take a
romantic winter stroll back to your
hotel, or you can use the many
shuttles that go back and forth
between the two areas.
Araxi
Araxi is one of the most famous fine-dining
restaurants in the Whistler village, offering
an extensive drinks list, beautiful plating and
fresh ingredients. So fresh in fact that all of the
ingredients used to prepare dishes are locally
produced (within 100 miles). Even the wine list
has a local bias. Sit at the oyster bar if you desire
a more interactive experience. Here the chef will
offer suggestions as he carefully prepares the
freshest local oysters from Read Island. Or opt to
dine à deux. Walk-in's are taken but reservations
suggested. Choose from a selection of Petit
Fours, hand crafted chocolates or macaroons and
request your dessert to go for a romantic end to
the evening in your hotel room - you did book
the room with the fireplace right?
