What you can do • Do not buy or keep exotic or wild animals as pets. • Go vegetarian or vegan, even one day a week—even one meal a week. • Do not buy from companies that abuse animals. Visit and learn. Pre-reregistra- tion is required. • Donate. Send or bring items from their wish list. • Donate towels, laundry detergent, ba- nana chips, carrots, almond milk, cat- nip toys, cat litter, tea tree oil, Home Depot gift cards, and more. • Volunteer alone or as part of a group. They currently need experienced paint- ers, sign makers, carpenters, contrac- tors, weed eaters (OK--people with weed eaters), gardeners, poop scoo- pers, and fundraisers. Vegan Haven Pigs Peace Sanctuary is the proud owner of Vegan Haven. A 100% Vegan Store in the University District. Selling personal care items such as lip balm and nail polish to ready to eat sand- wiches, holiday treats and baking sup- plies (such as plant based proteins, egg and milk replacers, and hand- made soy-free cheeses). You will also find non leather belts, purses and wallets, and while you are here don't forget your vegan pet foods. Look- ing for some literature pick up vegan cookbooks and children's books that relate to the vegan lifestyle.
