Carefree confidence and daring curiosity:
That's how Pantone sums up 17-3938 Very
Peri.
Consider our current cultural climate, and
this newfangled approach makes sense. "As
we move into a world of unprecedented
change, the selection of PANTONE 17-3938
Very Peri brings a novel perspective and vi-
sion of the trusted and beloved blue color
w
hile many of us spent the
final days of 2021 reflecting
on its whirlwind events, global
color authority Pantone was
already looking ahead —deciding on the
shade that will best encapsulate 2022.
They not only decided —they created. For the
first time in the company's Color of the Year
program, they invented a brand new hue to
speak to this transformative moment.
Very Peri, a periwinkle hue that the compa-
ny says combines the steady
tranquility of blue with an
energetic infusion of red.
"It was really important for us
to come up with a new color,
because we have a very new
vision of the world now," said
"...Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous
attitude and dynamic presence that
encourages courageous creativity and
imaginative expression."
