W ood, representing all the plants on the earth, has a tall, tree-like shape of a rectangle, and is represented by green in every tint, tone or shade, from a yellow-green to a blue green, from light to dark in hue. Its season is spring, and its climate is windy. It represents family on the Ba-gua including ancestors from previous generations. It's the germination part of a plant's life, birth to childhood in a human's life, and morning in a 24-hour period. In personality it's the creator and trail blazer of the Elements. Wood Elements like to have things organized. They don't really care how it looks aseptically, but they need a place for everything. Apothecary cabinets, trunks, and bookcases all speak to a Wood Elements need for tidiness. What connects you more to the woods than live plants?!
