Why is Feng Shui so confusing? Feng Shui, while simple in its essence, has many determinants, and is a term few know enough about to accurately evaluate due to its complexity. Part of the problem is that there are many different schools of feng shui, and while sharing commonalities, each has its unique perspectives from which they work. I liken it to recipes passed down from one generation to the next (which is what occurred in ancient China with Feng Shui cures). While you think your family's lasagna, carrot cake, or chili recipe is better than anyone's, there are some common ingredients common to all recipes, as well as some different spices/secret sauces that make your recipe special to you. The same is true of Feng Shui, whether you practice Compass, Land Form, Flying Star, BTB or another form of this ancient philosophy. Part of the confusion is a result of having are MANY books whose authors practice varying schools within Feng Shui. And the last part is that we all want to utilize knowledge that's over 7,000 years old, yet it takes time and intense focus to learn and utilize the many facets of feng shui. Shelley Nordlund Shelley has helped countless clients change their lives by altering their spaces using the art and science of feng shui. She continues to study, meditate, and utilize Feng Shui in her own life. Interested in a consultation? Check out Shelley's website: TFI.design
