E
very new year it seems that we bust out the new
calendar and as we open that first page, hopes,
dreams and goals spill out into the air. We breathe it in
and get to work achieving those with great anticipation
of what the next twelve months may hold. This year,
coming off 2020, it seems those hopes are a little
battle worn, they've perhaps been here before and are making a
repeat visit under less than auspicious circumstances. The new
year is unlike any other. I don't know what 2020 was like for
you, what demons you had to face or the angels you may have
encountered, but there is a cycle to things; a beginning and an
end. The world does turn. Chapters do close as new ones begin.
The process can be extremely painful sometimes, but I suppose
without this pain we may not be able to appreciate the beauty in
the new, creating gratitude and the traction to thrive.
Here's to looking forward with a different sort of anticipation, in
this different sort of new year.
Wishing you shiny, new mason jars to fill with all your hopes in
2021!
