BEDROOM OVERLOAD
I had 3-4 options of Pulte home layout's
to choose from, loft vs. bedroom was one
of them. I knew that I did not want the
loft space to be utilized as a bedroom—
with just 2 people we surely did not need
5 bedrooms! The loft space—while not all
that pretty yet, is put to good use during
sleepovers as the girls watch movies and
play games. The one downside is that it is
right across from the master bedroom so
when I am ready to go to sleep the girls
have to take the giggling dance party to
another (smaller) room. If I were to seek
out another home I would opt for one with
a basement (far away from the master) that
the tweens could retreat to during wild
sleepovers.
THE GROUND WE WALK ON
Within my model choice I had a myriad
of flooring options for the 'Great Room'.
Knowing that I will always have dogs I
opted for the wood flooring with no carpet.
That turned out to be a good choice—very
easy to clean and it just makes sense for
us and our lifestyle. I do wish however
that I would not have chosen a dark wood
color—a white shedding dog and dark
