As a style expert, the COMMANDER in CHICĀ® is regularly sought out as a trendspotter and panel participant at design markets and social media conferences across the United States where she covers new product and design trends and shares her knowledge and expertise about navigating the world of social media. She has appeared as a contributor on CBS- WTVR Virginia This Morning and has been profiled on numerous podcasts. We caught up with Natalie and asked her about her social media journey. NATALIE: I didn't really set out to build a brand it just sort of organically happened. Being in a visual business Instagram seemed like a fun and approachable way to share design work and engage with other designers. My live videos on health and beauty as well as cooking grew out of my "smother mother" empty nest syndrome after my son was away at school and my obsession with finding a great mascara which then of course made me want to try every hair tool and beauty product I could get my hands on.
