The holidays are a time for gathering to- gether with loving friends and extended fam- ily, spreading joy, and warmly reflecting on all of life's blessings. Or going to the bar instead. Luckily the Pacific Northwest has no shortage of swanky bars or laid back pubs. Drink The Nt You've heard of high tea, but the Thompson Hotel's rooftop bar's boozy "low tea up high" boasts a lofty view and an appearance from a resident rogue elf, with an ugly sweater dress code. Sun Liqu Both locations—the origi- nal cocktail bar on Summit, and the newer distillery nine blocks away—are amazing booze destinations. But come Christmas time, all of said amazingness is eclipsed by the excitement generated by seasonal, aged eggnog, which is available for a limited time during the holidays, and has quickly become a Seattle tra- dition.
