Play Outside
MUSIC:
G
rab a bottle of wine, a freshly baked
ancient-grain bread and deli salads
from the nearby Haagen, and catch one of
Chateau Ste Michelle's well-loved outdoor
summer concerts. Artists from the Moody
Blues to Lyle Lovett to Diana Krall have
played here during the long Pacific North-
west summer nights. Concerts usually begin
in June and run through September. If you
close your eyes and listen to the wind, you
might hear echoes of Led Zeppelin and the
Doors: believe it or not, the little-known
Seattle Pop Festival played at Gold Creek
County Park about a mile north in 1969.
MOVE:
Walk, jog, skate, or cycle along the 11-mile
Sammamish River Trail. The wide asphalt
trail begins in Bothell's Blyth Park and ends
in Marymoor Park in Redmond, but you can
join it in Wilmot Gateway Park and Woodin
Creek Park.
