Nicki T hey say that August is like the Sunday of summer and I can certainly relate. Living in the Pacific Northwest we are so lucky to have the best summers around — IMO. Mild weather, folks who love the outdoors, spending time around local spray fountains, walking dogs or lounging near Green Lake. My favorite past time in the summer months might be to just stay at home and enjoy the backyard. For renters, it may seem that without planting foliage into the ground you can't adequately cultivate a garden space or outdoor oasis, but this is simply not true. In this issue we'll take you through several ways to make your outdoor space personalized without breaking the bank and without compromising your security deposit. A big trend lately is wallpaper. You can add so much personality to a drab, boring space by throwing up a little printed paper. But again, can you without violating your lease terms? Yes, with removable wallpaper, it's as easy to put up as it is to take down. Read on. Rounding out this issue is what every renter (or homeowner for that matter) needs—a go-to toolbox to get you through some of the most common fix it is- sues. You'll be glad that you put this sort of home emergency kit together and so will your property manager! As we say a fond farewell to the summer and get ready for fall I am reminded of another end of summer quote "Summer always ends with good memories". I hope you'll enjoy this August issue and your last month of summer. It always goes too fast. Nicki Callahan, Property Manager Windermere Property Management
