They purchased a larger green space lot
and then Jeff's imagination and hard
work went into transforming this
backyard to what it is today; an eclectic
space filled with sentimental items and
love —literally love. "The LOVE Letters,
Jeff made for our daughter's wedding,"
Valerie notes. "They were initially just a
thought in her head of something she
pictured for her wedding that he was able
to bring to life. They were at the back of
the dance floor. The letters have since
been used in probably 8 weddings but
are now retired to our garden."
The bell on the fence also has special
meaning in a sense memory sort of way.
"The bell was initially on Jeff's parents
fence for many years. They had a gate at
the side of the house, and when all their
grandchildren were there, the bell was
loud enough we could hear if kids opened
the gate and tried to leave the yard. Every
time we hear it, it brings back memories
of sitting in his parents backyard, on their
deck, with kids playing all around. It is such
a sweet and simple memory brought back
