A s the days get warmer I find delight in the realization that indeed, those royal purple tulips that my mother and daughter planted on a cold winter day back in December of 2017 are coming up and are just as beautiful as I remember them from last year. I guess that's what they mean when they say "plant the seed and watch it grow" or in this case, the bulb. With the longer days I also have experienced renewed motivation for yard work, cleaning and organizing—anything to do with my home. I sense our community feels the same as I see many neighbors out thatching, planting and watering. I am excited to document the glorious summer yards, patios and porches of Tehaleh in our next issue. But first, in this issue, I am excited to share with you other types of symbolic seeds that were planted and how they have bloomed. In 'The Office' we'll take you inside three home office spaces here in Tehaleh, showcasing vastly different styles, women and professions/hobbies, all with one thing in common—a love for their homes. From collections acquired over the years, to unusual knick knacks, these home offices are sure to inspire. Then we follow that up with a few tips and tricks for creating your own curated home office. We'll touch on refinishing a deck, planning an outdoor room to enjoy during the summer months, finding those summer travel deals, and advice for relocating with your pet. All that and more in our third issue of Highlands Maison—Enjoy! Nicki Nicki Callahan, Editor Highlands Maison Magazine
