I
t's always a good time when
purchasing seasonal decor, those
Black Friday or after holiday
sales can really throw all reason
out the window, spinning you
into a sort of euphoric frenzy.
But soon you are forced to find a place
for all of those beautiful red and gold
trinkets and face the cold hard reality—
you might have over done it, might have
purchased more than you can reasonably
store and may, just may have purchased
too much of the "holiday look". What
is the solution? Nikki Martineau from
This Robin's Nest, shares her tips and
tricks with us for storing dinnerware and
entertaining pieces.

Purchase neutral colored
foundations such as chargers and
dinner plates. White dinner plates
provide a solid tried and true base on
which to build and incorporate fun
seasonal items. When choosing a charger
to go beneath your neutral dinner plate,
you can get creative and up your game
with interesting textures or finishes (such
as a metallic) to play off of the dinner
plate and accessories that you will add
later on. Stack them together on open
shelving to save on cabinet space and
add a farmhouse look to your kitchen
decor.
