A
fter a cold, gray winter and gray,
wet spring, pack your light bag and
sunglasses and get ready for summer. It's
easy to fill your days with new and fun
adventures without ever leaving Bellevue.
For more than 25 years the City of
Bellevue has put on a heck of a
fireworks
celebration for the 4th of July.
Attracting more than 60,000 people the
event features live performances including
the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra,
and ranks among the most spectacular
fireworks shows in the Pacific Northwest. If
you have little ones don't miss the Family
Fun Zone where kids (and adults) will
be entertained throughout the day with
activities ranging from free entertainment,
jugglers, stilt walkers, mascot characters,
balloon artists, face painting, free
interactive games and more.
Bellevue outdoor movie nights are
a great way to celebrate warm nights
outdoors with friends and family. Grab a
blanket, a lawn chair and head to Bellevue's
downtown park. Enjoy this 8 weeks series of
free family-friendly (PG or G rating) series.
There are pre-movie activities planned
before each movie, so come down early,
stake your ground and have some fun.
Movies begin at dusk (around 9pm) and are
shown under the stars on a huge, 40-foot
inflatable screen with a state-of-the-art
projection and sound system.
