and events. One such annual event is the
Womanfest Fall Retreat. Every fall since
1983, women from across the Peninsula
have taken time from their daily lives to re-
discover who they are -- apart from familiar
roles, away from family expectations,
beyond the demands of jobs and careers.
This year's Womanfest Fall Retreat will find
women coming together to live communally
at Camp David Jr. for 3 days and enjoy
vegetarian group meal as well as personal
reflection. Gentle yoga class, aerobics
and dancing are offered as well as

The myth of the bottomless lake calls to
visitors year round, so if you find yourself
heading along U.S. 101 this fall season, step
out of your car to explore; for an hour, a
day, a weekend. Stroll in the old-growth
forests and breathe deep the mist of fragile
waterfalls, go a bit further and test the
bone chilling waters. Lake Crescent hides
its secrets and continues to spawn legends
alongside its spectacular trout.
